Abe Graber Memorial Fund Program Requirements

The Youth for Christ mission meets the “boots on the ground” ministry criteria described in the History document exceptionally well. Therefore, the Graber family is leveraging the relationships and resources of the recently formed “YFC Advocates Team” and the YFC USA National Office to develop this matching grant program.

The intent of this program is to come along side, encourage, and help underwrite YFC staff and their resource development efforts. It is the Graber family’s hope and prayer that this type of matching grant program might be replicated by others in the future.

Chapter Requirements

This program is for Chapters that:

  1. Want to embrace YFC’s See the Story development practice, activating staff in the consistent (not episodic) activity of invitation and ministry to their prayer and giving partners.

  2. Accept the participation covenant.

  3. Complete the monthly reporting due by the 5th of the following month. For example: A report for January is due on by February 5th, but can be submitted anytime in between January 1st and February 5th. If a report is missed or submitted after the due date the grant will not be fulfilled for that period.

Staff Requirements

All Participating staff will:

  1. Watch the Graber Origins video.

  2. Participate in an approved personal financial literacy program of equal or greater time documented by chapter (ie. Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, Larry Burkett Crown Financial Classes, other). YFC Foundation will host a webinar that fulfills this requirement at least 2 times a year. If staff participated in any of these programs anytime in their life the requirement is considered fulfilled.

  3. Adhere to the YFC USA development best practice of consistent follow up by having personal, meaningful contact with each assigned giving partner every 60 days. This can be through text, email, correspondence, calls and 2 personal visits a year (In addition to regular mass mailings or email campaigns). Meaningful contacts can include, but are not limited to: invites to participate in See the Story, Be the Story, YFC Champions events, or just an update.
